In 1999, the Federal Department of Education began the PT3 initiative. The goal of that initiative was to transform teacher education programs across the country to ensure that new teachers would enter the classroom prepared to effectively integrate information technology. The BYU McKay School of Education demonstrated that university faculty, when provided with strong leadership and appropriate opportunities, will embrace and implement new ideas. |
