Author: Benda, Brent B.
Schroepfer, Tracy A.
Appeared in: Alcoholism Treatment Quarterly
Paging: Volume 12 (1994) nr. 1 pages 33-47
Year: 1994-11-08
Contents: This study of 444 homeless persons was concerned with interactions between factors related to present alcohol consumption and to use of services. Several logit models, with different combinations of factors, were examined, and the best predictors of present drinking were found to be past alcohol treatment and psychiatric hospitalization. Service utilization was predicted by current drinking and past psychiatric hospitalization. Implications of these findings for service delivery were discussed.
