Briefly summarizing, I would like to once more point out that Swedish research on migration and minorities, including Baltic ones, is getting resources, is gaining status, and is developing fast. There is now even an acute need for Baltic researchers, specialists as well as students, to do the work. And that goes especially for the project “the Estonians in Sweden.” The main problems of methods and documentation concern the lack of theories, the vast amount of still accessible though unorganized and scattered source-materials and the modest status of Baltic archives in exile. To overcome this unsatisfactory situation we have to cooperate on a very large scale. And that goes for Baltic scholars, archivists and supporters around the world. By joint effort we have to develop and organize real Baltic documentation and research centres with enough physical, material and intellectual potential, at least in Sweden, Canada, in the US, and Australia. I hope this conference will serve as a major forum for discussions on this very essential matter.
