Since 1976 the Chuquicamata's engineers have been worried about the way for improving the performance of fleets of trucks and shovels- In this paper, we analyse the evolution of the different systems applied in Chuquicamata; also, the ideas involved on each development for reaching the actual state. The purpose for this presentation is the fact that this system has been developed by Chilean engineers, directly, involved on the problems and experiences ocurring at Chuquicamata's Open Pit Mine. |
