High-tech fashion is a combination of two fairly new loves of Korea, technology and fashion, and is a theme and field that is already being studied and experimented with. This article discusses the recent high-technology fashion phenomenon in Korea and Korea's latest technological products and technological fashion products in comparison to foreign products, to examine the characteristics of Korean high-tech fashion and consumers of high-tech fashion. Major characteristics are that Korean people place importance on portability, aesthetic design, compatibility with other products, and comfort of clothes. The article also discusses high-tech fashion studies and research in Korea and around the world, including musical jackets and clothes with medical purposes, and presents possible solutions and directions for high-tech fashion in Korea for the future.
