In the last few years, the Internet has transformed the way organizations compete. While some have realized their potential, several are close to buyouts or failures. Given the recent spate of E-business failures, a pertinent question is: How can organizations survive in the post dot.com meltdown era? For those organizations still competing in an already crowded space, there is a need to understand the factors that will determine their survival in the immediate future. This paper discusses the forces governing the ever-changing competitive landscape in this new economy and identifies several factors in both the business to consumer and the business to business sectors. |
