  Using JAD for Strategic Initiatives

Title: Using JAD for Strategic Initiatives
Author: Kettelhut, Michael C.
Appeared in: Information systems management
Paging: Volume 14 (1997) nr. 3 pages 29-36
Year: 1997
Contents: Joint application development (JAD) techniques are generally viewed as a way of improving the quality of applications and the efficiency of the development process. Yet the facilitated group approach that forms the basis of JAD methodology is useful for empowering employees and managing group work across a broad range of organizational decision-making and systems development tasks. Extending the benefits of JAD to these tasks increases the strategic competitiveness of both the IS department and the larger organization.
