The 476 nm excited luminescence spectrum of Cs2NaGdCl6: TmCl3-6 between 21 000-3800 cm-1 has been recorded and analysed. The spectrum differs from that of Cs2NaTmCl6 in the occurrence of luminescence from the 1G4 state. The 1G4 → 3H6, 3F4, 3H5 transitions are interpreted in detail. In conjunction with the 3F4 ← 3H6 absorption spectrum of Cs2NaTmCl6 all of the crystal field levels of 3F4 are located. |
