The two-dimensional enclosed hanging membrane container is studied. The nonlinear governing equations depend on a nondimensional parameter β that represents the pressure difference. For β ≤ 0.271593. solutions are geometrically similar to a teardrop-like cross section. For β > 0.271593, both exact numerical and approximate solutions are found. Results presented are important in the design of membrane containers for the storage of grain |
