This paper deals with the use of the finite element method in an uncoupled dynamic problem of thermoelasticity. An effective method of choosing different schemes and corresponding time step that insures computational stability is suggested. A numerical example is included to illustrate the usefulness of the present method. The influence of dynamic effect is briefly discussed. |
