The thermoelastic problem of a finite circular cylinder is analyzed under a uniform temperature change and with a perfectly constrained end surface. The present problem is reduced to a solution of the infinite set of linear algebraic equations. Numerical calculations are carried out for three geometries, and both of the displacements on the free surfaces and the stresses on the constrained surface are shown graphically. |
