Inhoud: This article investigates the computational aspects of a boundary integral method, previously introduced by two of the authors [1] for 2-D linear, uncoupled thermoelasticity for isotropic, homogeneous materials in simply connected domains. The basic equations are discretized and the arising boundary integrals are regularized. Two problems for the elliptical boundary are considered as illustrations. Boundary collocation and polar harmonics are used at a certain stage to avoid evaluation of some integrals occurring in the representation of the displacement near the boundary. The obtained results are compared with those arising from the analytical solutions of the problems under consideration, clearly showing that the method is reliable. Relation with other boundary methods in 2-D uncoupled thermoelasticity is also discussed. Recommendations are given to deal with boundaries involving angular points.
