Giving up any assumptions about displacement models and stress distribution, the mixed state equation for the axisymmetric problem of thick closed orthotropic cylindrical shells is established. An exact three-dimensional solution of a thick closed laminated shell subjected to mechanical loading, temperature variation, and transient thermal loading is presented. Every equation of elasticity can be satisfied, and all elastic constants can be taken into account. Some numerical results are obtained and compared with those calculated using SAPS. |
