The effect of the second relaxation time, following Green and Lindsay's theory, on the propagation of Stonely waves at an interface of two semi-infinite media in contact is studied. The characteristic equation for the velocity of a Stonely wave is obtained. The illustration for the solution of the problem was done by calculating the velocities for different materials with various values of the first and second relaxation times to help compare the different theories. |
