The equations of infinitesimal deformations and weak fields superimposed on a finite ihermoelastic deformation and strong electromagnetic field are established. The theory shows that for initially nonuniformly heated rigid dielectrics, the thermal field is influenced by the polarization vector field even in the case of equilibrium. A variational characterization of the problem is given. |
