The existence of a solution for the problem of limit carrying capacity for perfectly elastic-plastic disks subject to a temperature gradient is discussed. For some disks, with jumplike variable thickness, the continuous solution terminates earlier due to some inadmissible discontinuities of displacements. Corresponding decohesive carrying capacity is determined, as well as geometric parameters of disks for which such phenomena occur. |
