  International justice and individual self-preservation

Title: International justice and individual self-preservation
Author: Ochieng'-odhiambo, Frederick
Appeared in: Journal of global ethics
Paging: Volume 1 (2005) nr. 2 pages 99-112
Year: 2005-12-01
Contents: The article explores the fundamental difference between two aspects of justice: international and global. It is then argued that for the sake of global justice, the difference can be overcome by taking a closer look at the basic human right of self-preservation in relation to moral agency, human well-being and social/distributive justice at both global and national levels. In an endeavour to attain global justice, the article defends an absolute moral right to a human minimum.
