The eight questions posed by the French Presidency in its paper presented at Biarritz have four common themes: transparency, traceability, visibility and accountability. A practical measure to respond to these needs consists in an effort to harmonize the labelling of foodstuffs on the international level in such a way that its course through the production chain can be tracked. This article explores the advantages of such a move for both producers and consumers. |
