Title: 1,1,2,2-Tetrachloroethane: Evaluation of risks to health from environmental exposure in Canada
Author: Hughes, K.
Meek, M. E.
Caldwell, I.
Appeared in: Journal of environmental science and health. Part C, Environmental carcinogenesis & ecotoxicology reviews
Paging: Volume 12 (1994) nr. 2 pages 483-491
Year: 1994-11
Contents: In this assessment of 1,1,2,2-tetrachloroethane as a Priority Substance under the Canadian Environmental Protection Act, estimates of the average daily intake by the general population in Canada are presented and available data on potential health effects are evaluated. 1,1,2,2-Tetrachloroethane has induced liver cancer in one species of experimental animals. However, available toxicological and epidemiological data are inadequate to confidently estimate a tolerable daily intake or concentration for this substance.
