The acute toxicity of two organophosphorus (OP) pesticides, diazinon and malathion to Cyprinus carpio and Barilius vagra was determined. Mortalities and LC50-96 hr values for 8. vagra and C. carpio were variable. Both juvenile common carp and B. vagra were extremely sensitive to diazinon. Adult B. vagra were more sensitive to malathion than were juvenile common carp. |
