Title: Changes of oxygen consumption on Procambarus clarkii exposed to methidathion: Effect on isolated gills
Author: Cebrian, C.

Appeared in: Journal of environmental science and health. Part B, Pesticides, food contaminants, and agricultural wastes
Paging: Volume 25 (1990) nr. 6 pages 767-775
Year: 1990-12
Contents: The effects of exposure to methidathion on the gill respiration rate of Procambarus clarkii were determined by using a Gilson differential respirometer. P. clarkii was exposed to LC50-96h, 1/5 LC50-96h and 1/10 LC50-96h for 0, 24, 48, 72 and 96h. Only the LC50 value, measured after 96h, was found to significantly increase the oxygen consumption rate (p < 0.05). Changes in oxygen consumption caused by the solvent are also discussed.
