The fungicides studied exhibited a different toxicity towards the survivorship of the flies. A statistical analysis based on the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test enables us to determine an increasing toxicity according to the following order: Aliette, Anti-pourritures and Karathane (very low toxicity ), Benlate, Dithane M 45, Acy-lon F, Peltar, Euparene and Pomarsol ( mean to high toxicity ) and Bouillie bordelaise ( very high toxicity ). These results are discussed in relation to previous data concerning the reproductive potential of Drosophila treated with the same products. The Carbamates always showed an important toxicity and among all the tested fungicides, the Bouillie bordelaise is the most toxic.
