Greenhouse and field experiements against 12 fungal pathogens were carried out with 5 quaternary ammonium salts obtained by quaternization of tertiary amines of the N-methylmorpholine or N-methylpiperidine types with suitable chloromethyl alkyl ethers. The most promising results were obtained in the control of apple scab (Venturia inaequalis) in concentrations of 700-350 ppm of active ingredient and Alternaria dianthi, Drepanopeziza ribis, and Septoria apii at a concentration of approximately 500 ppm with such compounds as: Tetradecyloxymethylene-N-methyl-morpholinium chloride (IPO-2323); Hexadecyloxymethylene-N-methylmorpholinium chloride (IPO-2506); Dodecyloxymethylene-N-methylpiperidinium chloride (IPO-2515) and Hexadecyloxymethylene-N-methylpiperidinium chloride (IPO-2327). |
