Concentrations of lead, cadmium, copper and zink in sixty six (66) samples of Mytillus galloprovincialis (mussel). The samples were obtained from the gulf of Olympias and Makriyalos Greece. The results indicate high concentrations of lead (mean values over 1 mg/kg) while the concentrations of other metals are at acceptable levels. It also seems that the concentrations of lead and cadmium are higher during Spring and lower in Summer and Autumn. |
