Solubility of crude oil of 28 API° were determined experimentally at 25, 35 and 45°C. Solution for unsteady-state diffusion equation using Fourier series was used to calculate the diffusion coefficients. It was found that the diffusion coefficient increases with temperature. The activation energy was calculated to be 8.5 KCal which confirms that the dissolution of oil is diffusion control. Diffusion coefficients were further correlated with temperature according to the equation: [image omitted] |
