The ammonia fleet is thin and thus very susceptible to market forces. Currently revenue received for the transport of ammonia barely covers variable costs. Owners are scrapping vessels at a relatively young age. This situation is reviewed and the future ramifications on ammonia exporters and importers are discussed. |
