Contents: The trace metal variations of white pine trees (Pinus Strobus) in New England were determined by Neutron Activation Analysis and Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy on core samples of standing healthy trees. Correlations between internal concentration of these metals and known environmental insults are put forth. Many non direct correlations are also formulated which indicate natural variation and the possible evidence of an undetected agent or agents which affect the trace metal uptake of the trees.
