Perception of environmental degradation and awareness of environmental hazards came gradually, and was followed by collective action. Global change is different because of its specific features, which raise new issues for action-oriented psychological research. The lack of consensus among scientists, the global nature of the change, and the type of risk are analysed in order to develop an agenda for research. Priority should be given to acquiring a better knowledge of the cognitive process in the face of serious danger with a high margin of uncertainty. La perception des alterations de l'environnement s'est developpee graduellement et a, le plus souvent, ete suivie par des actions adequates. Le “changement global” est different, et ses caracteristiques particulieres soulevent des problemes specifiques pour la recherche psychologique. L'absence de consensus entre les speialistes, la nature globale des changements attendus, et le type de risque sont analyes dans le but de formuler des priorites pour la recherche. La necessite de mieux connaitre les processus cognitifs face a un danger serieux comportant une forte marge d'incertitude est soulignee.
