Spectral characteristic of perylene dye doped in copolymer of ST/MMA was studied. The changes in the optical absorption spectrum and optical parameters including the band tail width and band gap energies for the samples were investigated before and after irradiation by γ-ray and also after a continuous exposure to filtered and UV radiation for 10 h. The study was extended to calculate the rate constants of photodegradation and the fluorescence quantum yield of the samples. |
