The synthesis of nickel/chromium hydrotalcite and zinc/iron Hydrotalcites are described. The compounds have been characterized by X-ray powder diffraction (XRD), Infrared spectroscopy (IR), and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) techniques. The rate of polymerization of methyl methacrylate (MMA) in the presence of different hydrotalcites at various concentrations of initiator and different temperatures were studied. The activation energies of polymerization were calculated. |
