Contents: The changes in the morphology and properties of low density polyethylene/polypropylene blends by incorporation of maleated pyrolysis products of disposable syringes have been studied. The following investigation methods have been employed transmission optical microscopy in polarized light, wide angle X-ray diffraction, mechanical and thermal properties determination. It has been established that the incorporation of the amorphous maleated pyrolysis products did not decrease the crystallinity of the 70IPP/30LLDPE blend. Moreover for a low content of these (5-10 wt%) an increase in the crystallinity index and also in mechanical properties has been obtained, while the thermal properties remained unchanged.
