Contents: The pyrolysis of the disposable syringes has been studied and reaction products have been characterized by gas-chromatography, density, refractive indices, aniline point analysis and spectroscopic methods. It has been concluded that pyrolysis offers a solution for treatment of this kind of medical polymer wastes and fuels and/or chemicals can be obtained.
