The authors experimentally investigated pyrolysis of model vulcanized butadiene compounds with different sulphur content on the melt of NaAlCl4. The maximum yield of liquid pyrolysis products occurs at 400°C, and is independent on S content. There was also observed strong desulphurization of liquid products, due to removal of S with the pyrolysis gases in the form of H2S. On the basis of same experiments on desulphurization of model mixture C16H34S with C15H32 with the same catalyst was proposed possible mechanism of S removal through the formation of stable complexes. |
