During this period of social and political transition in the former Soviet Union there is no longer a typical Russian school. We discuss the criteria for an open-type school, with emphasis on the self-development of students. The intellectual, personal and spiritual upbringing of students occurs within the context of the socio-economic, cultural and environmental position of the district of the school. The open school demands changes in the present educational process and teaching methods. |
