A comparative evaluation of several correlation measurement pitch trackers is made. Phoneme transitions have been selected from speech utterances pronounced by various speakers and have been mixed with several kinds of noise, including impulse noise. A separate comparison of preprocessing filters, including linear and median filters is also made. Besides the performance comparison, a complexity comparison for both the pitch trackers and the preprocessing filters, which is helpful for real-time implementation considerations, is carried out. |
