An efficient modular design method for TSC two-rail code checkers is proposed. The checkers are designed using TSC two-rail code checkers as modules, each with five input pairs. A module with four, three, or two input pairs may be used in order to complete the checker design. For the design of the new modules, techniques for sharing command transistors and removing command and pull-up transistors are proposed. The proposed checker design is more efficient compared with methods previously proposed. The design is oriented towards MOS VLSI implementation. |
