This paper presents a robust, constant-amplitude non-linear digital oscillator. It is based on a second-order digital section and a simple non-linearity. Conditions to guarantee the required oscillatory behaviour for the system are given. Expressions for the frequency, amplitude and harmonic content or the output sequence of the oscillator are given. Finally, an estimation of the transient time is obtained and some simulations results are included. |
