Contents: A new method for realizing a first-order difference equation without operational amplifiers (op-amps) is proposed. This circuit is applied to a low-pass filter using leap frog configuration. In order to remove the op-amp from the circuit, unique methods are introduced at the adding and subtracting portions in the circuit, As a result, using the first-order recursive circuit of which dynamic range per one-order is only 20 dB, the fourth-order low-pass filter with dynamic range of 40 dB is realized, extending from 100 Hz to 100 kHz of sampling frequency.
