An IC compatible variable-frequency pulse generation scheme employing saturation-controlled bipolar transistor inverters is presented. Simple expressions for various time delays figuring in the pulse time period are ohtained using the charge control approach. The experimental performance of the circuit shows good agreement with the theoretical results. The synchronization aspect of the pulse generator is discussed. Various applications of the pulse generator are also outlined. |
