A simplified approach has been used to evaluate the coefficients of the base functions to get the least square fit to a given set of data points. The simplification is achieved by using orthogonal polynomials as base functions. This approach has been used to represent a specific waveform by means of a polynomial. The approximation so obtained helped in generating the specified waveform using analogue multipliers. |
