This note presents a stability result for the multivariable version of the Generalized Predictive Control algorithm (Shah et al. 1989). In particular, closed-loop stability is obtained for any open-loop asymptotically stable plant by a proper selection of the future output horizon and of the control weighting matrix. The control law contains an integral action, thus guaranteeing regulation with zero steady-state error for constant exogeneous signals. |
