A time-optimal control is given for a second-order system with restricted phase variables. The phase variables are assumed to obey a certain class of constraints given in the paper. The maximum principle cannot be applied with ease in problems with phase variable constraints, because of the so-called jump conditions. A new approach is taken to solve this problem, and its utilization is illustrated by various examples. |
