ALPS: A Language for Process Specification

Title: ALPS: A Language for Process Specification
Author: Catron, Bryan A.
Ray, Steven R.
Appeared in: International journal of computer integrated manufacturing
Paging: Volume 4 (1991) nr. 2 pages 105-113
Year: 1991-03-01
Contents: This paper describes research identifying information models to facilitate process specification and to transfer this information to process control. A conceptual schema is introduced as a means to bridge the gap between process planning requirements and production control requirements. The result is a process specification language based on directed graph notation which allows full specification of parallel activities, event synchronization, alternative processes, resource management, and task decomposition.
