Sailing Between Ofsted, Scylla and Charybdis: a Yorkshire school gives new meaning to spiritual development

Title: Sailing Between Ofsted, Scylla and Charybdis: a Yorkshire school gives new meaning to spiritual development
Author: Kibble, David G.
Appeared in: international journal of children's spirituality
Paging: Volume 8 (2003) nr. 1 pages 33-41
Year: 2003-04
Contents: This paper describes how a school in York developed a unique understanding of spiritual development. Such an understanding led the school to construct a series of six avenues through which it believed pupils might have their spirituality developed. These six avenues involved nearly every department in the school and meant that spiritual development was seen as a whole school issue. Once established it was recognised that each avenue reflected or mirrored activities that take place in believers in faith communities.
