Inhoud: In this article it is proposed that the feminist liturgical renewal initiated from the 1970s onwards has theological contributions of its own to give to the understanding of the liturgy as a basic expression of the Christian Church. The discussion is related primarily to a Swedish context dominated by the Evangelical Lutheran Church. The Reformation in the 16th century meant a renewal of the liturgy of the Word. The ecumenical and liturgical movements of the 20th century have contributed to a renewed and deeper understanding of the eucharistic aspects of the liturgy. The feminist liturgical movement adds to this a deeper sense of the Church as a just community, understood through the wider community that is constituted by the whole creation. Liturgically this is expressed in a renewed interest in the Gathering to, and the Sending from the liturgy.
