Solid-state operational amplifiers, a diode gate, and flip-flop circuits have been used to construct a versatile signal generator for electroanalytical experiments, especially cyclic voltammetry. The unit produces ramp and hold signals, single-cycle triangular waves, and multicycle triangular waves, with independently selectable initial potential, anodic and cathodic limit potentials, and hold potential. The scan rates available range from 0.2 mV/sec to 1000 V/sec.
