Title: The adolescent pragmatics screening scale: Rationale and development
Author: Brice, Alexander E.
Appeared in: Howard journal of communications
Paging: Volume 3 (1992) nr. 3-4 pages 177-193
Year: 1992
Contents: The Adolescent Pragmatics Screening Scale (APSS) was developed as a screening tool for use by speech-language pathologists, regular education teachers, and bilingual/English-as-a-second-language teachers. The APSS defines six broad topics across 38 individual behaviors. The APSS contains a general pragmatics total score and six discreet topic scores. It is to be used in a collaborative effort among teachers in developing a student pragmatics profile and in determining if speech-language testing services are warranted. The APSS was developed using regular education students, language-impaired students, and bilingual/Hispanic American students.
