The 10th International Symposium on Educational Technology} organized by the Institute of Science Policy and Higher Education in Warsaw and the Technical University of Poznan`, was held in Poznan` (Poland) from 10 to 12 November 1976. The Symposium, which took place under the auspices of the Polish National Commission for UNESCO, concentrated in its discussions on the application of educational technology, the application of computers in higher education teaching and the improvement of academic textbooks. It stressed the necessity of linking the development of equipment with the development of methods which ensure a practical and efficient utilization of new technology in the educational process. It was also considered important that new methods and techniques should be applied in accordance with new concepts of the nature and aims of the educational process.
