Until now, UNESCO Clubs have existed mainly in the secondary schools, but in the future they could also play a significant role in strengthening international cooperation and understanding at university level. These Clubs could be of interest to universities of the European Region in the light of the proposals made by the Helsinki Conference on Security and Cooperation.
