Innovation cannot be considered as solely a technological phenomenon. it is also a social phenomenon. In the Rhone-Alpes region of France, the 'technopole' initiative has developed in isolation from the industrial fabric of the region. In practice, innovation is springing from new types of organization and inter-relations developed between the firms themselves. Three examples are given of social entrepreneurship, innovation and networks. |
